Girls Varsity Volleyball vs. Winnisquam Regional High School

Cougars Lose: 2 - 3
The Cougars took the floor Saturday in what would be their last regular season game for the year! Excited to face a new team and possibly make a playoff run the girls were in good spirits. The Cougars played hard in a back and forth battle the entire game. They were able to join together to win the 1st and 3rd sets with a 25-21 win and a 25-19 win respectively. Unfortuantely, the Bears were able to capture the other sets and the 5th set was a 15-11 victory for the Bears.    Leading the Cougars was Emma Rodenhiser who had 4 aces, 14 kills, 2 blocks, and 6 digs. Makaela Drumond had 5 kills, Sophia Hatmaker had 4 kills, and Samantha Henderson, Lillian Devoid, and Kendall Sullivan each added 3 kills. Samantha Henderson also broke a Conval record with 26 digs in a single game and Kendall Sullivan had 5 aces and 14 assists. Aria Laurent added 5 digs and 10 assists as well.

Cougars Lose: 2 - 3

Cougars Lose: 0 - 3
The Cougars took the floor at Oyster River tonight eager to play but were quickly in over their heads as Oyster River attacked from all sides. The Cougars struggled to dig and set up attacks themselves and lost the first two sets 10-25 and 8-25. Not willing to give up, the Cougars fought in the 3rd and were tied at 15 but the Bobcats were able to finish it with a 17-25 set victory.   Leading the Cougars were Emma Rodenhiser with an ace, 2 blocks and 5 kills (which makes her the new record holder for kills in a season with 110). Kendall Sullivan had 3 assists, 3 digs and a kill, Aria Laurent had an ace, a kill, 2 assists and 3 digs, and libero Samantha Henderson had an ace and 8 digs.

Cougars Win: 3 - 1
 The Cougars took the floor tonight after honoring their 3 seniors: Lillian Devoid, Mattison Visingard, and Captain Molly Tyle, very excited and eager to play. They began the 1st set with a substantial lead (11-1) behind the serving of Lillian Devoid but were unable to stop the offense of Hanover and soon were tied at 14 apiece. They were able to jump back out to a lead after back and forth play and won the set 25-21. The 2nd set was much of the same back and forth and stayed tight the entire set until Hanover took the lead at 20 and won the set 25-19. The Cougars fought back though with some great teamwork and won the 3rd set 25-23 and the 4th set 26-24.     Leading the Cougars were Emma Rodenhiser who had 2 aces, 5 kills, 4 blocks, 2 assists, and 7 digs. Senior Molly Tyle had 4 aces and 3 kills while Kendall Sullivan added 4 aces, 4 assists and a kill. Sophia Hatmaker had 2 kills and 4 digs and the Libero Samantha Henderson had 2 aces, 9 digs, and 24 good serve receives!

Cougars Lose: -
The Cougars traveled to John Stark this evening for a volleyball game that begun by honoring each team's seniors. The Cougars and the Generals went back and forth in each but in the end it was a 3-0 victory for the Generals with set scores of 17-25, 18-25, and 16-25.     Leading the Cougars was Emma Rodenhiser with 5 kills, 5 digs, a block and an ace. Aria Laurent had 2 aces, 2 assists, and 3 digs and Makaela Drummond playing setter tonight had an ace, a kill, 4 digs, and an assist.

The Cougars had a tough time with the Bear's hard serves and attacks and lost 3 sets - 0 sets tonight. The set scores were 9-25, 20-25, and 6-25 all in favor of the Bears.

Cougars Win: 3 - 0
   The Cougars took the floor tonight fired up to celebrate Pink Night and help raise awareness for people with cancer. The match began with a reading of names for those friends and family members that have been affected by cancer, which has special meaning to many on both teams. The girls stayed ahead the majority of each match with good serving and a combined total of 26 aces on the evening. The set scores were 25-15, 25-20, and 25-18 all in favor of the Cougars.    Leading the Cougars were Emma Rodenhiser with 5 kills, 5 aces, 4 digs, and 2 blocks. Kendall Sullivan added 2 kills, 9 aces, 5 assists, and 3 digs. Aria Laurent had 1 kill, 9 aces, and 2 assists, while Molly Tyle had 3 kills, and 2 blocks.

Cougars Lose: 0 - 3
The Cougars took the floor for an early game against the Spartans yesterday afternoon in Milford. Missing some players caused the Cougars to struggle to dig some tough hits and serves from Milford and the Spartans captured the 3-0 game win with set scores of: 13-25, 7-25, and 15-25.       Leading the Cougars was Emma Rodenhiser with 9 successful serve receives, 5 aces, 4 blocks, 3 kills and an assist, Kendall Sullivan with 9 successful serve receives, an ace, an assist, and a kill, and Samantha Henderson with an ace and 10 successful serve receives.

Cougars Win: 3 - 1
The Cougars took the floor eager to show the Sabers what they could do! The 1st set went back and forth for a few points until Emma Rodenhiser broke it open with a 9 run ace streak! The Cougars did stumble a little towards the end but held on to take the match 25-17. The second set went the way of the Cougars as well with a set score of 25-21. The 3rd set was a battle as the Cougars were unable to cover a few short tips and the Sabers captured the set 25 -20. The 4th set was all the Cougars from the start. They fought hard and played their best and won with a 25-21 set score.      Leading the Cougars offense were: Emma Rodenhiser, Molly Tyle, and Kendall Sullivan. Rodenhiser had 9 aces, 8 kills, and 2 blocks while Tyle added 3 kills, an ace, and 2 blocks. Sullivan had 2 aces, 1 kill, 7 assists, and 6 digs. Defensively Avery Swasey had 9 successful serve receives and 5 digs and Libero Samantha Henderson added 23 successful serve receives, 3 aces, and 8 digs.

Cougars Lose: -
  The Cougars took the floor tonight in front of a large homecoming crowd in the Python's gym. The girls fed off the energy in the gym and quickly dove into the first set. The first 4 points went to the Cougars by great serving from Captain Kendall Sullivan 3 of them aces and Samantha Henderson followed with 8 service points of her own. The cougars took the first set 25-15. The following set also went to the Cougars with many great offensive attacks and Emma Rodenhiser coming up big as she connected and killed 5 balls from Kendall Sullivan for the 25-14 win. The 3rd set was a back and forth battle but with the gym clearing and the energy dropping the Pythons were able to slither by and capture the 21-25 win. The 4th set was also a back and forth battle but in the end the cougars were victorious with the 25-23 win on Avery Swasey's nice serve.    The leading contributors were Emma Rodenhiser with 3 aces, 12 kills, 5 digs, and a block. Aria Laurent had 1 ace, 6 kills, 4 assists, and 6 digs. Kendall Sullivan added 4 aces, 2 kills, 12 assists and 5 digs and Samantha Henderson had 2 aces, 2 back row kills, 12 digs, and 18 good serve receives. Makaela Drummond added 6 aces and 2 kills.

Cougars Lose: 1 - 3
The Cougars took the floor ready to play still excited from their game against Campbell on Monday. The 1st set was all the Cougars as they won 25-10 behind the great serving and passing of Samantha Henderson who served 2 aces of her 12 service points and had 23 successful serve receives. However a defensive change allowed the Blue Knights to swoop in and take the next 3 sets with 12-25, 17-25, and 9-25 set scores.     The Cougars had a productive offensive night with Emma Rodenhiser passing the all time game kill record with 15 kills, Aria Laurent added 5 kills, Molly Tyle had 4 kills, and Makaela Drummond had 3. Aria Laurent added 7 assists and Kendall Sullivan had 15 assists. Molly Tyle added 2 more aces to her season total and Elyssa Naylor played well defensively with 11 good serve receives.

Cougars Lose: 0 - 3
Conval took the floor against Laconia this evening to celebrate their homecoming in front of a good sized crowd. The Cougars were pumped during warm up but struggled to handle the tough servers from Laconia in the first losing the set 11-25. The second set was a back and forth battle and was tied at 12 but the Sachems pulled ahead in the end with a set win of 18-25. The final set seemed to be going the Cougars way until the very end when a tipped ball found an empty space followed by a free ball that didn't make it over the net. The Cougars lost the 3rd set by 2 points 23-25.   Leading the Cougars were Emma Rodenhiser with 5 kills, 2 assists, 3 blocks, and 2 aces. Kendall Sullivan had 3 kills, 4 assists, and 3 aces while Makaela Drummond had a pair of kills and an ace. Samantha Henderson was the Libero with 21 successful serve received and 6 digs, Elyssa Naylor added 3 digs, and Aria Laurent had 3 assists and 3 digs.

Cougars Lose: -
The Cougars took the floor eager to show Hanover their volleyball skills as the score alternated back and forth the entire set and then went to extra points as the Marauders captured the victory 26-24. The second set also went to the Marauders as well with a 25-18 victory. The Cougars rallied in the 3rd set and captured the win with a set score of 25-23 and then they sped past the tired Hanover team 18-25. It all came down to the last set. The entire gym was yelling at every point as the score alternated. Tied at 15 Hanover took a time out and unfortunately after a bad dig and a missed free ball the Marauders won the final set 17-15 for the win 3 sets - 2 sets!    Leading the Cougars were Emma Rodenhiser with 5 aces, 14 kills, 2 blocks, and 8 digs. Kendall Sullivan added 2 aces, 4 kills, 20 assists, and 6 digs and Makaela Drummond had 3 aces, 5 kills, and 2 digs. Aria Laurent had an ace, 3 kills, 5 assists and 3 digs, and Sophia Hatmaker and Molly Tyle each had a pair of kills. Samantha Henderson, Brooklyn Sainsbury, and Avery Swasey played well defensively and all had 5 digs.

Cougars Lose: 0 - 3
The Cougars came out a little flat after a long bus ride to Kingswood but the Cougars fought hard. The set scores were 20-25, 10-25, and 22-25 all in favor of the Knights.  Leading the Cougars offense were Kendall Sullivan with 5 kills, 3 assists, and 4 digs and Emma Rodenhiser with 3 kills, 5 aces and 7 digs. Samantha Henderson had a great game as the defensive libero with 8 digs, 10 successful serve receives and a back line kill.

Cougars Lose: 2 - 3
      The Cougars took the floor eager to face the Generals of John Stark this evening at CV. The teams battled back and forth through the first 3 sets as the Generals won the first set 27-25, and the Cougars won the next two sets 25-21 and 26-24. The beginning of the 4th set did not start well for the Cougars and although they made some good plays they were unable to shorten the gap and lost 10-25. The 5th set started evenly matched but the Generals broke open the game and won the final set 15-9.       Sophomores Emma Rodenhiser and Makaela Drummond led the Cougars this evening. Emma with 9 kills, 2 assists, 2 aces, and 18 digs and Makaela with 6 kills, 4 aces, 3 digs, and 7 good serve receives. Kendall Sullivan added 12 digs, 3 assists, and 2 aces and Aria Laurent had 6 assists, 2 kills, 3 digs, and an ace. Samantha Henderson played well defensively with 4 digs and 9 good serve receives and Brooklyn Sainsbury had 8 digs and 3 aces.

Cougars Lose: 0 - 3
   The Cougars took the floor eager to be back in a game situation tonight in their home opener against Prospect Mountain. The first set was back and forth, the teams tied all the way until point 18 but the Timberwolves captured the victory 25 -23 from the cougars. The 2nd set was dominated by the Timberwolves who won 25-15. The cougars came out ready to play in the 3rd and Sophomore Emma  Rodenhiser lead the way serving six straight points but unfortunately the cougars couldn't hold on and lost the set 21 - 25.      Leading the offense were Emma Rodenhiser with 5 aces and 4 kills, junior captain Kendall Sullivan with 4 aces, 3 kills and 3 assists, and sophomore Makaela Drummond with 2 aces and 8 kills. Defensively junior Samantha Henderson had 7 digs and 9 successful serve receives and Emma Rodenhiser had 11 digs and 3 successful serve receives.
