CVHS football players took to Hannaford to shop for groceries in support of NH Tackles Hunger. Led by the National Honor Society, the FCVA, and the football team, the CVHS community donated non-perishable food items to support our local food bank.

Due to the forecasted weather this evening, today's home boys' basketball games vs. Pembroke Academy, and the girls' game at Pembroke Academy have been postponed to tomorrow, 2/11 as follows:Girls at Pembroke- 6:00; JV Boys, home at 5:00; Varsity Boys, home- 6:30.

Boys' Indoor Track Finishes in the Top 3!
Six members of the ConVal Indoor Track Meet participated in the Division II State Championship on Sunday at Plymouth State University. The boys' team finished 3rd overall. Ross Stephens won the 300-meter dash in 34.73 seconds, breaking his own school record and a 21-year-old state record for that event. He also finished 3rd in the 55-meter dash in 6.67 seconds.Griffin Schultz finished 3rd in the 300-meter in 36.01 seconds and 4th in the 55-meter in 6.69 seconds., to go along with his 4th place finish in the high jump.The 4x200-meter relay team of Ross, Griffin, Bretton Davies, and Marcus Jordan finished in 3rd place in 1 minute, 37.84 seconds, which also broke a school record. Morly Johnson finished 7th in the shot put with a throw of 42 feet, 6 inches.Ross and Griffin qualified to compete in the New England championships in the 300-meter dash at the end of the month.In the girls meet, Whitney Adair finished 6th in the 1000-meter run, in a personal best 1 minute, 45.37 s

Major Change to Indoor Track
Due to the forecasted snow on Sunday, the scheduled indoor track meet at UNH on Sunday has been moved to Saturday. For ConVal athletes that means we will be competing at UNH on Saturday night at 7:30 PM instead of Sunday afternoon. Please contact the athletic office for details or questions.

Claws for a Cause
This Friday (01/09/26), we are hosting a varsity basketball double header vs. Souhegan High School. The girls' game tips off at 5:00, followed by the boys' game at 6:30. This is our “Claws for a Cause” game, and this year's cause is our local food pantries. In lieu of an admissions fee, we are asking all fans to bring in a non-perishable food item. Cash or check donations will be accepted. All profits from the game will go to our local food pantries. We hope to see you here!

Winter Sports Meeting
Attention all winter student-athletes: there will be a mandatory meeting for players and families on Thursday, November 20 at 6:30 PM in the gym. This meeting is a chance to hear from the athletic director and team coaches about the upcoming winter season. The FCVA will be hosting an ice cream social prior to the meeting, starting at 6:00 PM. On Monday night, the boys' soccer team defeated top-seeded Oyster River, 2-1, in the Division 2 State Semifinals. The win puts them in the State Championship Game on Friday night at 7:15 at Exeter High School. The Cougars will take on #2 seeded Campbell High School for the right to be called “State Champs”! This will be the first time Conval will be competing for a state championship since they won back-to-back titles in 2018 and 2019. The Cougars entered the tournament as the fifth seed, and now they are one win away from being state champs! Tickets to the game can be purchased at the gate, $7.00 for adults, $5.00 for students. We hope you can make it. If you can't make it, the game will be broadcast (for a fee) on the NFHS Network.

Boys' Soccer onto the Semifinals!
The #5 Boys' Soccer Team defeated #4 Kingswood on Friday, 3-2, and is heading to the D2 state semifinals on Monday, 11/3 at 6:15 at Exeter High School vs. top seeded Oyster River! There is an admission fee of $7 for adults, $5 for students and seniors. If you can not attend but want to watch, the game is on the NFHS Network (for a fee). Let's go, Cougars!

Division 2 State Outdoor Meet
CoEd Varsity Outdoor TrackThe boys and girls competed in the Division 2 state championship meet yesterday at Sanborn High School. The boys finished in fourth place with 65 points. One school record was tied, and three school records were broken during the meet.Will Simard won the 1600-meter run in 4:29.70 and finished second in the 3200-meter run in 9:47.20. Ross Stephens broke his own school record in the 400-meter dash, winning the event in 49.21 seconds. Ross also finished fifth in the 200-meter dash in 22.33 seconds. Kendrick Edwards broke his school record in the long jump with a leap of 21 feet, 3 inches. He tied his school record in the 100-meter dash, running 10.84 seconds and finishing fourth. The 4x400-meter relay team of Kendrick Edwards, Griffin Schultz, Sam Davis, and Ross Stephens finished second in a school-record time of 3:27.28.
