- Coach Riley graduated from Gloucester High School in Gloucester, VA where she excelled in Basketball and Softball for 4 years as a Varsity player and starter.
- Deb was captain of both her Basketball and Softball teams for those 4 years.
- As of 2015, Coach Riley was inducted into her high school's hall of fame for Basketball and Softball, with standing records in both sports.

- At Gloucester High School, Deb coached Varsity Girls' basketball for 7 winning seasons; Middle School for 2 years; Boys JV for one year; JV softball for 10 years and Volleyball for 1 year.
- In Tennessee: Coach Riley coached girls' basketball, boys' and girls' golf, and softball.

- Coach Riley currently lives in Hancock, NH. Outside of coaching at ConVal, Coach Riley enjoys playing golf, reading, photography, doing anything outdoors and spending time with her family.
