Griffins win over Sanborn 4-2
The first period was scoreless, with some good battling back and forth. Sanborn got on the board halfway through the second period, but the Griffins came alive in the third. Tyler Damon scored first, with an assist from Quinn Mose. Elias Niemela notched his first Varsity goal with the assist from Quinn Mose. Less than 30 seconds later, Niemela stole the puck at the blue line and buried his second goal of the game. Sanborn struck back to bring it to 3-2, and then pulled their goalie to try and even it out. But it was all over when Sophomore Shawn Damon picked up the puck at the defensive blue line and fired it into the empty net to seal the game and pick up his first Varsity goal.
