The Cougars took the floor tonight for their matchup against Pelham. Both teams battled back and forth and kept each set close. The Cougars were able to capture the first set 27-25 before losing the 2nd set 21-25 and the 3rd set 17-25. Knowing it was the game on the line, the Cougars fought hard to take the 7-2 lead in the beginning of set 4 but the Pythons were able to come back and tie it at 14. The Cougars kept playing together and were able to take the set win 25-22 to force set 5. The Cougars came out strong in the 5th set and with a score of 14-5 needed just one point for victory but the Pythons went on a run and scored 5 points before they were defeated and it was a Cougar victory 15-10!
     Leading the Cougars was Emma Rodenhiser with 5 aces, 16 kills, 3 blocks, an assist and 6 digs. Kendall Sullivan had 2 aces, 3 kills, 11 assists and 13 digs while Ivy Armstrong-McEvoy added 7 kills, an assist, 4 digs, and an ace. Aria Laurent had 2 kills, 10 assists, and 7 digs and libero Samantha Henderson had 3 aces, 22 digs, and 29 successful serve receives.
