The Cougars took the court tonight in their home opener against Kennett. The atmosphere was upbeat after the CV JV win and the stands were full of people! The Cougars fought the entire night and were able to capture the 3-0 victory with set scores of 25-17, 25-11, and 25-23.
Leading the Cougars offense was Junior Captain middle hitter Emma Rodenhiser with 12 kills, 3 blocks, and 3 aces. Freshman middle hitter Ivy Armstrong-McEvoy had 4 kills, 2 blocks, and 2 aces while Senior Captain setter Kendall Sullivan added 4 kills, 10 assists, and 4 aces. Junior setter Aria Laurent had 7 assists and 5 aces. Defensively Senior libero Samantha Henderson had 7 digs and 13 successful serve receives and Rodenhiser had 10 successful digs.
