COE-BROWN NORTHWOOD ACADEMY: 3
The Cougars started their season off at Coe-Brown Academy tonight. The bears came out strong taking 3 straight sets from the cougars. The set scores were 25-10, 25-6, and 27-25. The Cougars had a 7-0 lead in the 3rd set but struggled to keep momentum against several good jump servers from Coe-Brown. Conval fought tough getting to game point twice in the set just prior to the Bears capturing the win. Offensively leading the team was Nadia Kazlauskas with a pair of kills and a block, Haley Davis had a kill and an ace, and Anna Chisholm had an ace and an assist. Lillian James played solid defense with 11 good serve receives and 10 digs, followed closely by Haley Davis with 9 successful serve receives and and 11 digs. Paris MacKeigan and Chloe Ahern both had 6 successful serve receives.
