HANOVER HIGH SCHOOL: 3
The cougars volleyball team traveled to Hanover tonight. Hanover came out strong but the Cougars fought and played really well digging many tips, keeping the ball in play, and working as one. Hanover took the 3 set victory despite the cougar's hard work. The set scores were 25-19, 25-11, and 25-19. In the 3rd set the Cougars had a 7 point streak to bring them within one point of Hanover prior to making 5 serve receive errors that cost them the set. Leading the Cougars offense was Riley Codman with 2 blocks and 4 kills and Emma Golden with 3 kills. Joanna Adams had 7 assists on the night. Defensively Sydney Crete had a great game with 9 serve receives and 6 digs, Mary Grossi had 11 serve receives and 9 digs, and Michele Hartwell had 10
serve receives and 5 digs.
