- He has coached girls hockey for 9 years.

- Coach Payne has also ran the boys alumni game/tournament for 10 years.
Off the Field:
- Coach Payne likes to spend his free time going to bluegrass music festivals with his wife Mary. He also has two sons. Coach Payne has played hockey in many leagues in New Hampshire as well as Massachusetts over the years as he still loves to play the game.
