The Griffins won big against the Monadnock-Fall Mtn Huskies for a second time this season, with a 10-3 stomping at Winchendon on Wednesday night. The first period was scoreless until the 14 minute mark when Evan Turner netted his first of four goals (and three assists).
The Griffins came alive in the second period scoring five goals - one each from Quinn Mose, Elias Niemela, Mason Devost, and two from Logan Favart (who also had 3 assists). The Huskies fought back with three of their own in the second, but the Griffins owned the third period, with four unanswered goals, three from Turner, and one from Preston Kirby. Goalie Cole Turner turned away 27 of 30 shots from the Huskies.
The Griffins take the ice in Winchendon again on Saturday 1/25 at 10 AM against Pembroke Academy-Campbell.
