Girls Varsity Volleyball vs. Manchester Central High School

Cougars Win: 3.0 - 0.0
In a sea of green and white there was a small 12 seat area with yellow and blue balloons and a Congratulations Senior sign where the Cougars took their seats in preparation for the game.    The Cougars moved and had some great attaks but it was obvious that Central wanted the won just as badly. The score in the first started 6-1 in favor of Central and still down 21-24, Cougar Zadie Marshall went to the line and served until the Cougars won 26-24. The Cougars fought for the next 2 sets as well with great volleys and won 25-16 and 25-13 respectively.      Leading rhe Cougar offense was Senior Captain Emma Rodenhiser with 12 kills, 5 digs, and 2 aces. Setter Zadie Marshall had a great night with 17 assists, an ace, 2 kills and 4 digs. Ashlynn Williams added 6 kills, 3 assists, 7 digs, and 4 aces and Brynn Frosch had 5 kills, 6 digs and 2 aces. Aria Laurent had 3 kill's, 3 aces, 4 assists and 3 digs and our Libero, Emily Steinberg had 10 digs.    The Cougars finished the season 13-3, woth the best record in CV Volleyball History and will continue on to Playoffs in a very good position!

The Cougars traveled to Fall Mountain tonight to face the Wildcats. The Cougars took the win in 3 sets with set scores 25-22, 25-18, and 25-16 respectively.� Leading the Cougars was Ashlynn Williams with 7 aces, 4 assists and 4 kills. Ivy Armstrong-McEvoy added 3 aces, 7 kills, 6 digs and a block and Aria Laurent had 4 kills and 10 assists. Zadie Marshall helped the team with 2 aces and 8 assists while Emma Rodenhiser added 4 kills, 2 blocks and 4 digs. Makaela Drummond had 3 kills and Daniella Tracy had 3 aces and 3 kills.� The Cougars will host John Stark this Wed 10/18 for the team's Senior Night! �

Cougars Win: 3.00 - 2.00
The Cougars hosted the Sabers of Souhegan tonight for homecoming. The gym was packed and the girls fed off the energy from the crowd playing their best game of the season. The score was tight in the first set but the Cougars were able to hold on and win the set 25-23. The second set went to the Sabers 25-14. The 3rd set was another victory for the Cougars with a set score of 25 -22 and the 4th set was a hard fought battle as the score was tied from 16 points until the end result of a 28-26 win for the Sabers. The Sabers won the coin flip in the 5th set and elected to remain on their side of the court and the Cougars were given the serve. The score ws tied at 10 points and Daniella Tracy went into the game and was able to serve 5 points to help the Cougars win the 5th set 15-10.     Leading the Cougars was Ivy Armstrong-McEvoy with 2 aces, 15 kills, 4 blocks, and 15 digs. Emma Rodenhiser added an ace, 12 kills, 9 digs and 3 blocks. Setter Zadie Marshall had 3 aces, 2 kills, 11 assists, and 23 digs while setter Aria Laurent had 2 kills, 14 assists and 5 digs. Brynn Frosh added 3 aces and a pair of kills and Ashlynn Williams had 4 kills. Makaela Drummond had a pair of kills, a pair of assists,  and 9 digs and Emily Steinberge played great defensively with 5 digs and 10 successful serve receives,  The Cougars move to 10-2 on the season and are currently in 2nd place in D2.  WHAT AN AMAZING NIGHT!!

Cougars Win: 3.00 - 0.00
The Cougars traveled to Manchester tonight to face the Blue Devils. Everyone was dressed in pink to support cancer and as the teams took the floor the crowd was loud and proud. The Cougars all played well and were able to capture the win in 3 sets with set scores of 25-15, 25-21, and 25-16 respectively. Leading the Cougars was Ivy Armstrong-McEvoy with 4 aces, 4 kills, and 2 blocks. Zadie Marshall added 3 kills, 2 aces, 6 assists and 5 digs while Emma Rodenhiser had 3 aces, 5 kills and 3 digs. Makaela Drummond and Brynn Frosch each had a pair of kills, Daniella Tracy had a pair of aces and 4 digs, and Ashlynn Williams went on an 11 point serving streak in the 3rd set with 2 aces, 3 assists, 3 digs, and a kill.

Cougars Win: 3.00 - 1.00
The Cougars traveled to Laconia in a tough battle between the Sachems and the Cougars. The Cougars came out flat falling behind 0-5 to start the first set. It seemed like it would be all Laconia as the score went to 11-20 but Ivy Armstrong-McEvoy served 8 points to put the Cougars into potential range. Unfortunately, the Cougars couldn't catch up and the Sachems took the first set 19-25. The Cougars persevered in the 2nd and 3rd sets with scores of 25-17 and 25-20 respectively. The 4th set started and the Cougars once again fell behind but they clawed their way back and kept fighting. A close battle back and forth for every point caused fans to be on the edge of their seats as the set continued into extra points and...a Cougar victory 29-27!    Leading the Cougars was Ivy Armstrong-McEvoy with 13 aces, 12 kills, 4 blocks and 14 digs. Emma Rodenhiser added 2 aces, 10 kills, 4 blocks, and 9 digs. Zadie Marshall added 3 aces, 5 kills, 17 assists and 17 digs and Aria Laurent had 2 aces and 14 assists. Brynn Frosch had 7 aces, 6 kills, and 10 digs, while Ashlynn Williams had 2 kills, 5 assists, and 5 digs. Makaela Drummond had a pair of kills.  The Cougars move to 7-2 on the season and will travel to Hanover on Friday 9/29.

Cougars Win: 3.00 - 0.00
The Cougars hosted Plymouth last night in a triple header. The Cougars came out strong in the first behind the serving of Brynn Frosch and some quick attacks. Plymouth fought back and the end result was a 25-15 first set win for the cougars. The second set also went to the Cougars with a 25-17 score. The third set seemed like the Cougars would dominate up 7-1 but Plymouth went on a run and was able to tie it at 16 after a few serve receive errors. Frosch came back to serve some much needed points in the end and the Cougars held on to take the set 25-23 and sweep Plymouth 3 - 0.    Leading the Cougars wsa Brynn Frosch with 6 aces, 2 kills, and 12 successful serve receives. Emma Rodenhiser had 3 aces, 7 kills and 3 blocks and Ivy Armstrong-McEvoy added 10 aces, 3 kills, and a pair of blocks. Zadie Marshall had 2 aces, 2 kills, 7 assists, and 7 digs and Ashlynn Williams had an ace, 4 kills, and 7 assists. Aria Laurent had 3 aces and Taylor Ouellette had a kill.  The Cougars will travel to Laconia on Wednesday, 9/27 to try and keep their winning streak alive.

Cougars Win: 3.00 - 0.00
The Cougars traveled to Pelham tonight for their third game in a row. The Cougars tookna lead in each game bit had some errors causing two of the sets to go into extra points. They were able to capture the win 3-0 with set scores of 27-25, 25-15, and 27-25. Leading the Cogars was Emma Rodenhiser with 2 aces, 13 kills and 9 digs while Zadie Marshall added an ace, 4 kills, 5 assists, and 12 digs. Ivy Armstrong-McEvoy had an ace, 2 blocks, 5 kills, and 9 digs and Ashlynn Williams had an ace, kill, and 12 assists. Brynn Frosch had 4 kills and Aria Laurent had 6 assists. The Cougars move to 4-2 on the season and will host Fall Mountain on Friday 9/22 and will be raising money for NH tackles hunger.

Cougars Win: 3.0 - 0.0
The Cougars took the floor tonight against Manchester West in their 3rd game of the week. As the rally went back and forth in the first set, the Cougars worked together and attacked the ball, winning the set 25-18. After that, it was all the Cougars as they rolled over West 25-9 and 25-5. Leading the Cougars was Ivy Armstrong-McEvoy with 6 kills, 2 blocks, and 2 aces while Zadie Marshall added 4 kills, 3 assists, 5 digs and 3 aces. Ashlynn Williams added 8 assists and 2 aces and Aria Laurent had 6 assists, a kill, and 2 aces. Brynn Frosch added pair of kills and a pair of aces and Avery Moore had 4 aces.  The Cougars move to 3-2 on the season and travel tonPelham on Monday night.

Cougars Lose: 1.0 - 3.0
The Cougars opened their home season tonight against the Spartans of St. Thomas. Both teams came to play and fought hard as each set went back and forth. The Spartans took the first set 20-25 after an 8 point comeback behind the serving of Sophomore Zadie Marshall. Set 2 belonged to the Cougars with a 25-19 set score. The teams pushed the third set into extra points and the Cougars came up short 24-26. The final set was 19-25 in favor of the Spartans. Leading the Cougars was Sophomore Zadie Marshall with 5 kills, 12 assists, 21 digs, and 2 aces. Sophomore Ashlynn Williams added 5 kills, 11 assists, 8 digs and 7 aces while Senior captain Emma Rodenhiser added 5 kills and 10 digs. Sophomore Ivy Armstrong-McEvoy had 11 kills, 10 digs and 2 blocks and Junior Brynn Frosch had 3 kills and 8 digs. The Cougars move to 1-1 on the season and will host Milford next Tuesday 9/12.
