On Friday, the CV cougars traveled to John Stark. The Cougars quickly fell behind the pitching of Olivia Haugreaves. The Cougars got a double in the first by Avery Moore but she was left stranded and they fought but stayed off the bases until the 6th inning double by Samantha Henderson. Kendall Sullivan hit a line shot through 1st and 2nd base for a single in the 7th but the Cougars unfortunately did not score and lost 2-0.
Lily Mandel took the mound for the Cougars pitching the complete game facing 28 batters, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, 4 walks, a hit batter, and striking out 9. The defense behind Lily played amazing allowing only 2 errors and stranding 6 John Stark runners.
