The Cougars took the field behind Junior Lily Mandel in Peterborough tonight with the goal to win every inning. The Cougars lead-off batter Samantha Henderson hit a double and delay stole 3rd to be hit in by Morgan Bemont with a right side ground ball in the 1st. Both teams remained scoreless in the 2nd but Milford's 9th batter, Warren, hit a triple down the right field line and scored on a ground ball in the 3rd. The Cougars returned with a single by Bemont and a rocket over the center field fence by Mandel to win the inning and jump ahead 3-1. The 4th was quiet but the 5th started with a Milford run by Fortin, but the Cougars again answered with 2 runs, a single by Henderson, an RBI single for Bemont, and a sliding play at home with Bemont scoring on a Madel hit. Milford left bases loaded in the 6th but scored 3 on a misplayed ball in the outfield in the 7th and the game was tied at 5. The cougars were unable to score in the bottom of the 7th, Milford plated 2 in the 8th, and unfortunately this time the cougars were unable to answer. The final...a 5-7 loss for CV. 

    Mandel pitched 8 innings facing 43 batters, allowing 7 runs on 11 hits and 2 walks. She struck out 7 and the Cougars had 9 fielding errors on the night.
