After a quick team bonding dance to Cotton Eye Joe in the dugout the CV varsity softball team took the field behind Junior pitcher Lily Mandel and Freshman catcher Avery Moore. Mandel was on fire in the 1st striking out the top of Plymouth's line up in order before the cougars went on the attack and scored 13 runs with all 9 players scoring at least one run. Mandel continued to pitch well facing 15 batters over 4 innings, allowing just 2 hits, 1 walk, and striking out 8. Junior Kendall Sullivan came on to close the game and pitched the 5th and faced 4 batters with 2 strikeouts. The Cougars offense was led by Samantha Henderson 3 for 4 with 4 runs and 3 RBI's, Morgan Bemont 2 for 4 with a walk, 2 runs, and 7 RBI. Kendall Sullivan was 3 for 6 with 2 singles, a double, and 4 RBI and Avery Moore scored 4 Runs on 3 walks and a single. The end result was a Conval victory 22-0!
