The Cougars took the field today behind sophomore Lily Mandel! Bow was quick to score as their 2nd batter laid down a bunt and scored a few pitches later. Conval did not answer in the 1st but Lily Mandel hit a single to start the 2nd, Bartsch walked, and Hutchinson reached on a fielder's choice. Unfortunately Mandel was thrown out at the plate to keep the score 1-0. In the 4th, Morgan Bemont hit a single but was left stranded on 3rd. In the 5th, Blanchette got a single but Bow turned a double play on the next pitch and the inning was over. In the 6th, Conval left the bases loaded after a pinch hit single by Mary Hulslander, a single by Bemont, and a walk by Mandel. The final was a 10-0 win for the Falcons. Mandel pitched the complete game facing 38 batters, allowing 10 runs on 14 hits and 2 walks. She struck out 6.
