Conval traveled to Milford yesterday afternoon for their second match-up of the season. The Spartans scored early after a single and an error by Conval. This would be the only run in the game. The Cougars were able to conjure up 2 hits, one from Samantha Henderson in the top of the 1st but unfortunately she was left stranded at 3rd. Mackenzie Gauthier had the 2nd hit with a line drive single to right field in the 5th but was later thrown out stealing 3rd. The Cougars stranded 5 on base! Lily Mandel pitched the complete game facing 24 batters, giving up 3 hits and 1 run. She walked 2 and struck out 8. Morgan Bemont had a great game behind the plate!
