The Cougars took the field as the home team in the 2nd game of their double header on Saturday behind Sophomore Kendall Sullivan. Sanborn scored early, plating 6 runs in the first 2 innings. The Cougars answered with a run in the 1st but unfortunately did not score after that. Sullivan took the 13-1 loss pitching 5 innings, giving up 12 runs on 9 hits and 3 errors. She struck out 5 and walked 4 before teammate Lily Mandel came in as relief pitching the 6th and 7th. Lily faced 10 batters, struck out 5 and walked 1. Lily gave up 1 run on 1 hit and 1 error. Leading the Cougars offense was Morgan Bemont who was 2-3 with a pair of singles and an RBI and Lily Mandel went 2-3 with a single and a double.
