The Cougars took a long bus ride to play the Knights of Kingswood today. The Cougars took the lead early with a 4-2 score after the first and an 8-2 score after the 2nd. But a big 7 run inning followed by a 3 run inning put the Knights on top 12-8 going into the 5th. The Cougars scored 6 to the Knights 2 to tie the game at 14. The Cougars scored 3 runs in the sixth and held the Knights for the 17-14, 2.5 hour victorious game! Leading the Cougar offense was Rachyl Parslow who went 3-5 with 3 doubles, a walk, 3 runs, and 3 RBI. Taylor Jarest was 3-6, with 3 singles, 3 runs scored, and 5 RBI. Hayley Cheviot was 3-5 with 2 singles, a double, a walk, 4 runs scored and an RBI and Bre Hutchinson had a pair of walks and 2 runs scored. Jaden Hubbard-Lemay got the start on the mound. She went 3 1/3 innings, facing 27 batters allowing 7 hits and 12 runs. She walked 3 and hit one. Elizabeth Nute came on in relief going 3 2/3 innings, facing 19 batters allowing 5 hits and 2 runs. She walked 1 in the 7th but the defense played solid behind her!!
