The Cougars softball team took the field tonight against Hollis-Brookline. The Cougars scored one run in the top of the 1st after Sarah Dauphinais walked and Rachyl Parslow singled up the middle. Shannon Allen (reached after being hit by a pitch) and Parslow were left on base. In the 2nd inning the Cougars scored 3 runs by Taylor Jarest, Sarah Dauphinais, and Rachyl Parslow. Eliza Fiore hit in Jarest followed by two plated runs on Parslow's deep double. Breanna Hitchinson, courtesy running for Shannon Allen, who again reached by being hit by a pitch, and Hayley Cheviot both scored in the 3rd. The cougars went 3 up 3 down in both the 4th and 5th. Jaden Hubbard-Lemay took the mound for the Cougars going 4 innings before Hayley Cheviot took over in the 5th with bases loaded. Hubbard-Lemay allowed 14 runs on 7 hits and 7 walks. She struck out 2. Cheviot faced 7 batters getting one out and allowing 5 hits and 4 runs to end the game in the bottom of the 5th with a score of 18-6.
