ConVal Girl’s Tennis lost to Coe-Brown Northwood 1-8 on a sunny and cool afternoon in Northwood.

The sole winning match was won by #1 Julia Peters 8-3 against Megan Wimsatt.  Peters had lost to Wimsatt last year 4-8 so this was a nice victory.  Julia came to play today!

#2 Catrina Kipka was very evenly matched against Mary Thomas but lost 5-8 in the longest singles match of the day.  Both girls got to almost everything and made very few mistakes.  There were many deuce games.

Eva Calcutt lost to Addy Leifer 2-8, Lena LaFleur lost to Kira Nealburke 3-8, Jill Karlicek lost to Skye Loto 2-8 and Fiona Pieterse lost to Lily Libbey 1-8.   Zoe Werth and Sandra MacKay did not play today.

ConVal was losing steam by the time the doubles matches rolled around.  Julia and Eva played #1 and had some excellent points.  In the end, they lost 3-8.

Catrina and Lena played #2 doubles.  The lead flipped back and forth a few times but the ConVal pair were making more mistakes than usual at the end and lost 5-8.

Jill and Fiona had some good points in the #3 spot but lost 3-8.

ConVal plays at home on Friday at 4:00 PM against Goffstown and away at Hollis-Brookline on Wednesday next week.  The following week, the team will be off for spring break.
