The JV Cougars continued rolling on Friday with a 49-40 win over Plymouth High School to move their record to 5 - 2 on the season.

The JV Cougars saw another great, collaborative team effort in the win with 10 out of the 13 Cougars showing up in the scoring column and all the Cougars getting some good minutes. Defense was the name of Friday's game with the Cougars letting up only 10 points in the entire first half which was capped off by an Ethan Kinney offensive rebound and put-back getting fouled while the buzzer sounded. Ethan hit the free throw and gave the JV Cougars a 26-10 lead going into the half.

Plymouth made a late charge in the fourth quarter hitting a number of free throws and holding the Cougars to no field goals in the frame. The JV Cougars, however, made 7 of their 8 free throws in that fourth quarter to seal the game.

Emerson Craven led the way with 9 points, Zander Cariganan (playing his best game of the season so far) chipped in 7, Joe Gutwein and Owen McGuire each had 6, while Malachi Page and Zach Burgess each had five.

The JV Cougars have a tough travel schedule coming up with 3 of their next four games on the road, two of them featuring epic bus rides. They next play Tuesday, January 28th at John Stark with a 430 start.
