STEVENS HIGH SCHOOL: 43
The Cougars began the second quarter with a 13-0 run, digging themselves out of a 15-3 first quarter deficit to take the lead. Despite five lead changes and a not so stellar shooting percentage (26% FGM-A) the Cougars hung on to beat the Cardinals 49-43. The team was led by Sophomore Lindsey Carey with 28 points and 11 rebounds. Senior captain Hannah Reinfrank pulled down 14 rebounds to lead the team on the boards. Trina Parslow led the team in steals with 5, sister and sophomore Rachyl Parslow had 8 points and 8 rebounds, and freshmen Emma Hixson and Molly Cole contributed greatly to the Cougars win. The team travels to Windham on Tuesday for a 6 pm start.
