The football team picked up their first win of the season in their home opener, 46-0 over Manchester West in front of a huge crowd on Friday night.
ConVal (1-1) had a balanced offensive attack, with 6 different players scoring touchdowns.Dan Spezzaferri, Danny Parker, Scott Stanley, and Zach Obuchowski all had rushing touchdowns for ConVal, while Liam Baldwin and Jimmy Stewart each had a TD reception.
Defensively the Cougars were led by JR nose tackle Dan Curran, who posted a team high 9 tackles along with 3 tackles for a loss and 1 sack, Jake Phillips and Jacob Munroe also had great games at linebacker for the Cougar defense to help them shut down the Blue Knight offense.
The football team will be home again this Friday night against Kingswood. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
