On the Field:

High School Sports: 

  • Coach Ewing played Football and Wrestled for Banks High School.
  • He was team captain of the football team for two years, and started for 3 years.
  • He was the team captain for the wrestling team for 2 years, won district champion twice (at 189 lbs), won State Place Winner three times, and was the State Champion in 2001 (at 189 lbs).
  • In 2001, he was chosen as the Male Athlete of the Year by Forest Grove News Times 

College Sports:

  • Coach Ewing wrestled in college, and was a four time Letter Winner and a four time National Qualifier.
  • He was the captain of the wrestling team for the 2006-2007 season, and was the Regional Runner-Up in 2007 at 197 lbs.
  • From 2005 to 2007, Coach Ewing was a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee. 

On the Sideline:

Coaching:

  • From 2009 to 2013, he coached at Banks High School as the Assistant Coach.
  • Simultaneously, from 2008 to 2013, he also coached at Banks Junior High School as the Coach/Assistant Coach.
  • From 2009-2013, he coaches at Banks Little Guy Wrestling Club.
  • Beginning in 2015, Coach Ewing has taken on the position as the Assistant Wrestling Coach.

Coaching Achievements: 

  • Coach Ewing was a part of producing numerous state placers and several state champions.
  • One of his former athletes, Collin Purrinton, continued his wrestling career at the University of Nebraska.

Off the Field: 

  • Coach Ewing likes to spend his free time with his lovely bride, Mrs. Bastoni, and his friend/step-son Trace. He loves early morning hikes with his wife, enjoys reading, learning new things, and relaxing. With Crotched Mountain so close, he is anticipating that he and his family will enjoy some time skiing.
