Emergency Action Plan

ConVal High School – Gymnasium/Mini Gym/Weight Room

The Emergency Action Plan (EAP) provides guidelines that should be followed in the event of injury/illness to a student athlete. These procedures should be carried out by a certified athletic trainer (ATC). If an ATC is not present the head coach and/or designee should follow these directions. Prior to the start of any practice or/contest in the absence of the ATC, the head coach should locate the nearest phone/cell phone to be used in the event of an emergency.

Roles of First Responders:

  • Provide immediate care for acute injury.
  • Retrieve necessary emergency equipment.
    • First aid bag, AED, splints located in athletic training room or with athletic training staff in golf cart.
    • Additional AED located on wall next to weight room entrance.
  • Activate EMS by calling 911, provide following information:
    • Identify yourself/role in emergency
    • Specify your location and pertinent phone numbers.
    • Give names of injured/ill athletes.
    • Give condition of injured/ill athletes.
    • Give time of accident.
    • Give care being provided.
    • Give specific directions to location of emergency.
    • Do not hang up until after EMS has hung up.
  • Monitor condition of athlete until emergency crew arrives.
  • Person should be designated to greet ambulance outside of the athletic entrance to the school.

ConVal High School is located at 184 Hancock Road Peterborough, NH. Direct ambulance to pull directly to the athletic entrance of the school.

ConVal ATC should be notified as soon as possible of any incidents involving student athletes in their absence.

ConVal High School – Softball/Baseball/Upper Fields/Stadium Field

The Emergency Action Plan (EAP) provides guidelines that should be followed in the event of injury/illness to a student athlete. These procedures should be carried out by a certified athletic trainer. If an ATC is not available the head coach and/or designee should follow these directions. Prior to the start of any practice or/contest in the absence of the ATC, the head coach should locate the nearest phone/cell phone to be used in the event of an emergency.

ConVal High School is located at 184 Hancock Road Peterborough, NH. Direct ambulance the rear of the parking lot to the right of the school to the driveway leading to the upper fields.

ConVal ATC should be notified as soon as possible of any incidents involving student athletes in their absence.

The Emergency Action Plan (EAP) provides guidelines that should be followed in the event of injury/illness to a student athlete. These procedures should be carried out by a certified athletic trainer. If an ATC is not available the head coach and/or designee should follow these directions.  Prior to the start of any practice or/contest in the absence of the ATC, the head coach should locate the nearest phone/cell phone to be used in the event of an emergency.

South Meadow School is located at 108 Hancock Road Peterborough, NH. Direct ambulance to the rear of the parking lot and up the dirt/grass road up to the athletic fields.
